Capacitor V6.3.0 – Add Manual Time Request and Bug Fixes

We are thrilled to announce the release of Capacitor V6.3.0, which focuses on enhancing the manual time request functionality and addressing critical bugs across multiple components. This update introduces new features and fixes to improve the user experience and system performance.

Here’s what’s new in this release:

Feature Enhancements

  1. AI Chatbot:
    • Greyout non-image file types in the chatbot upload to enhance clarity and usability.
  2. System:
    • Fixed CICD memory allocation issues for the frontend to ensure smoother deployments.
    • Refactored JWT authentication to use a single source, improving security and performance.
    • Updated JWT decoding function to validate tokens more effectively.
  3. Time Log – Add Time Manually:
    • Enabled the “Add Time Manually” button for all roles in the daily report detail popup.
    • Set request status to “Pending” upon submission of manually added time for better tracking.
    • Highlighted manually added time with a yellow colour for easier identification in reports.
    • Added role-based permissions for action buttons, enhancing security.
    • Displayed a confirmation popup when deleting manual time entries.
    • Updated the “Change Status” button to “Request Detail” for approved/rejected manual time requests.
    • Displayed and counted only approved manual time requests in the daily report.
    • Introduced tooltips to indicate pending or rejected requests.
    • Updated rejected/approved manual time requests to revert to “Pending” status upon editing.


Bug Fixes

  1. HR System – Employee:
    • Resolved flashing issues when switching between employee popups.
    • Fixed an error that occurred after deleting an employee’s join date.
    • Corrected an issue where the “Add New Employee” popup was unexpectedly pre-filled.
  2. Digest Email:
    • Updated weekly digest emails to exclude terminated employees, ensuring only relevant information is sent.
  3. Who’s Online:
    • Fixed a bug preventing users from changing others’ profile pictures.
