Capacitor V5.4.0 – Introduction of Activity Tracker Updates, Payroll Enhancements, and Bug Fixes

We’re excited to announce the release of Capacitor V5.4.0. This update focuses on refining the user experience in the Activity Tracker with setting dropdown, improving payroll functionality, and addressing critical bugs in the system. Here’s an overview of what’s new:

New Feature: Activity Tracker

We’ve made key updates to the Activity Tracker module to improve user interaction and experience:

  • Activity Tracker Page:
    1. This page was previously named the “Screenshot Page” and has now been renamed to “Activity Tracker.”
  • New Dropdown implemented to Activity tracker page and HR employee page
    • This setting allows HR/Admin/Manager users to control what data—screenshots or AI summaries—is visible for each employee. The setting only affects newly collected data, with existing data remaining visible based on the previous settings.


    • Role-Based Restriction:
      • When a user with the role of “Manager” or “Employee” is viewing their own activity tracker page, the “Activity Tracker” dropdown must be greyed out and disabled.
  • Dropdown Options:
    1. AI Summary & Screenshot (Default Setting):
      • Displays both screenshots and AI summaries for authorized users on the “Activity Tracker” page.
    2. Screenshot Only:
      • Only screenshots with AI classifications are visible. The system continues to process all data in the background.
    3. AI Summary Only:
      • Displays only AI summaries in a truncated format, with full summaries visible upon hover. Screenshots are not shown.
    4. Privacy Mode:
      • Both screenshots and AI summaries are hidden, and a generic placeholder message is displayed instead.
  • Disable Activity Tracker:
    • Disables the collection of screenshots and the screen-sharing feature entirely. Display a gerneric message on the activity tracker page to inform the users or the admin/he/manager who can access the page of the staff.

These improvements make the Activity Tracker more intuitive and user-friendly, enhancing your workflow.


Payroll Enhancements

Our Payroll module has been updated to further streamline payroll processing and improve usability:

  • Approved Non-Paid Leave (NPL) Display: New display of approved Non-Paid Leave (NPL) to better track time off.
  • Expense Display Updates: Expenses are now displayed more clearly in the payroll summary, making it easier for users to track and manage reimbursements.
  • Country Filter for Employee Overview: A new filter has been added, allowing users to view payroll information based on the employee’s country, offering greater flexibility in managing global payroll.

Bug Fixes

We’ve also addressed several bugs to improve the platform’s performance:

  • Terminated Staff in Payroll Summary: Fixed an issue where terminated staff were incorrectly displayed in the payroll summary. They are now hidden as expected.
  • Responsiveness Fixes: We addressed issues in time tracker page for mobile view.

These enhancements bring more visibility and control over payroll and leave management, ensuring smoother operations for your HR team.
